How's it going, fantisy buffs? Between D&D campaigns of my own, it's always great times for me to relax with one of R. A. Salvitore's novels based in the Forgotten Realms game module. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ice Wind Dale trilogy, and the Dark Elf trilogy right after. First meeting Drizzt and then learning about his past and the adventures all the way through is an almost childishly gleeful pleasure for me. Does anyone know how to get hold of the rest of the books, or have any thoughts about them?

I've only read the Legacy, but unfortunatley it was abridged. I remember really enjoying it however. Salvatour is a terrific writer. It' not part of the same universe, but I highly recommend the Demon Wars saga by him. it's really well-written.

I preferred his Spearwielder's tale personally. I couldn't get into the Drizzt books, but then again I was a lot younger then and I've found recently that some of the books I couldn't quite get into at that time are easier to read nowadays. I have the Icewind Dale trilogy courtesy of Bard, so I might just read those and then see what else I can find.

Haha crack?
A bit less detrimental and a lot less expensive, I would think. I did get to read Demon Wars. Different universe, true. But still a great fantasy saga. Good old Bob hasn't disappointed yet. And yes, he goes by Bob. One of the most absolutely unremarkable names ever coined. Probably no big deal to many others, but I find it hilarious.

I really enjoyed the Demon Wars saga. When I read it it was with a cast of talented voice actors, some realloy great sound effects and a pretty epic musical score. Definately a different way of enjoying an audio book.

I've only listened to the first book in the dark elf trilogy. Does anyone know where I can get all of his forgotten realms books in audio?

I think bard has most of them.

I love the Drizzt books!!! I'm so pleased to know others know about the series!!! My best friend got them for me for Christmas, but Idk where he was able to find them. You could always torrent them if you wish.

I can't say I have read them, though I may now have to somehow manage to find at least one of the books.

I have yet to read the books, but I have them in ebook form for reading on my braillenote. I also had a dream that Drizdt was Legolas's lost twin awhile ago... Very strange but cool.

Yep. Most of them are on BARD. They're all on Bookshare too. Good series. I haven't quite made it through all of them, but I'm getting there.
